Rhododendron hunnewellianum

A distinctly narrow leaved species from C Sichuan, China, making an attractive foliage plant with the stiff, dark-green, relatively small leaves whitish-felted beneath. Bell-shaped pink flowers are borne in clusters of 5 or 8 in March and April. Acid soil in semi-shade. A hardy large shrub of compact habit.
