Rhododendron maddenii subsp. maddenii ex AP

A form of this intensely-sweet fragrant species from Himalayan Arunachal Pradesh. Makes a medium to large evergreen shrub with white to pink, sometimes internally blotched funnel-shaped flowers late, in June and July. Requires a sheltered position, though this is a high altitude form, from 3100m asl.
