Rohdea nepalensis (syn. Tupistra aurantiaca)

A hardy evergreen woodlander from the Himalaya with strap-like foliage arching out from the branched, low, exposed rhizome. Short spikes of densely set flowers in spring start out slightly grey-green and turn soft-orange, followed by rounded orange fruit which persist a fair while. Shade and humus soil. 30cm.
