Salix purpurea ‘Gracilis’

A dwarf form of our native Purple Osier with very slim red-purple stems and branches which contrast very effectively with the particularly narrow, delicate looking glaucous foliage. A very tough and easy dense, compact rounded bushy shrub for any sunny site, reaching about 1.5m tall. The stems are an attractive winter feature. Tolerant of a wide range of soil moisture and extremely hardy.
