Sarcococca hookeriana ‘Purple Gem’

Supposedly a mutation of S. hookeriana var. humilis with red tinted stems, making an evergreen mound to 60cm high. Masses of highly fragrant white flowers with hints of red in the depths of winter, usually from February, scenting the air around. A very easy and hardy plant for semi to full shade and even dry shade once established.
