Saxifraga stolonifera ‘Nezu-jinja’

An extra large leaved form of this semi-evergreen East Asian creeping species, found by Cedric Basset in Neju District, Tokyo. The leaves are comparatively huge, up to 15cm across if happy; green with a vivid tracery of silver veins and the plant itself is also more vigorous, spreading easily to form a nice patch via stolons. Typical upright branched heads of pinky-white flowers are borne in summer. Height 30cm. For a well drained shady and moist position, preferably fairly sheltered and usually completely hardy.
