Schefflera macrophylla

One of the holy grails of the exotic plant world, this huge leaved evergreen beast from Southern Yunnan and N. Vietnam grows at up to 2600m altitude. It is not fully hardy in the UK, but can take a certain amount of frost, so is best suited to milder urban or coastal areas with protection from wind. Vast compound palmate leaves, with five to seven leaflets up to 55x22cm, beige under, held on petioles up to 1m long. A large shrub or even small tree.
