Stachyurus sigeyosii
A semi-evergreen Taiwanese species making a large shrub to about 3/4m in cultivation, with oblong-lanceolate relatively thick textured foliage. Masses of strictly and stiffly pendulous spikes of palest white-yellow flowers strung along the branches in spring. Best with some shelter.
