Stewartia rostrata
A small hardy Chinese tree with white Camellia like flowers in succession over several weeks in Jul/Aug, followed by superb crimson autumn colour. Related to S. sinensis and most often supplied with that name in trade, but with a grey lightly fissured bark. Needs a lime free soil in sun or semi-shade.
