Teucrium fruticans ‘Agadir’

A selected form of the Mediterranean 'Shrubby Germander' from Olivier Filippi with deeper blue flowers. Makes a small evergreen shrub for a sunny well drained spot against a wall in inland areas, but in mild coastal zones grow it out in the open where it tolerates sea spray well. Mild modern winters make rather a joke of the previous sentence! Grey-green leaves are plastered underneath in very fine white hairs, as are the stems, giving the whole plant a greyish appearance and the flowers are in terminal racemes throughout summer. Very drought tolerant and highly prunable.
