Vesalea floribunda (syn. Abelia)

Bunches of spectacular tubular, 5cm long vibrant deep-pink flowers with open mouths produced in abundance in June/July. This splendid Mexican species is usually best grown against a warm sunny wall where it will make a medium sized evergreen shrub for most reasonably well drained soils.
