A white flowered form of the 'Chaste Tree'; a splendid, highly drought tolerant medium-sized deciduous shrub from the Mediterranean, East to C. Asia, covering itself in a mass of fragrant, elongated inflorescences in late summer/early autumn, depending on location and warmth of summer. The aromatic leaves consist of 5-7 narrow leaflets and are attractive in themselves. Generally grown against a warm wall, but usually untouched by cold these days, given full sun and well drained soil, and rated H4 by the RHS, meaning at least -10c. Used as a potent hormone regulator.
