A very hardy Korean Abelia with a new name, like so many, except this time the pronunciation is, hmmm, interesting. This one is deciduous and makes a rounded shrub to about 2m high, bearing rounded clusters of highly fragrant white flowers from pink buds in late spring or earliest summer; May-June. In a good year the autumn colour can be orange and red. Tough and easy in sun or semi-shade. Sadly this has an extremely restricted population in South Korea and is thus an Endangered species.
