Carpinus laxiflora

An unusual Asian hornbeam from Japan and Korea making a medium sized tree with rather drooping branches and pretty foliage often colouring well in autumn, with red and orange tones. The conspicuous drooping clusters of hop-like green seed keys add to the display. Easy in any soil.
