Magnolia ‘Iolanthe’

One of the very fine Jury hybrids from New Zealand. Huge soft pink, thick textured flowers with cream interiors up to 25cm across borne in abundance in mid-March on the bare branches, even on plants just 5 years old. Another feature is the huge hairy flower buds. A small to eventually medium sized tree with a rounded crown, best on reasonably good soil.
