Magnolia leavifolia x maudiae

A hybrid between two excellent floriferous Chinese evergreen species with the foliage certainly erring towards the M. maudiae parent, being variably silvery-green and reasonably broad. This should make a small tree, festooned with highly fragrant white flowers in spring. This is a seed raised batch with a small amount of variation between plants. Hardy, for a reasonably sheltered position, this will enjoy warm summers. Any good soil.
