A particularly dome-shaped, tough, hardy, evergreen shrub from W. Asia, eventually to 3m high and wider across, this can be smaller if kept trimmed, which it is perfectly happy with. The dark green leathery foliage is fairly large for an Osmanthus and admirably sets of the massed clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, which are followed by small, purplish-black plum-shaped fruit in autumn. Suited to virtually all soils in sun or semi-shade.
