Quercus dentata ‘Sir Harold Hillier’

The Daimyo oak from the Far East has spectacularly outsize foliage, superficially similar in form to our common oak, but many times the size. The twigs are very stout and plants usually colour well in autumn with deep orange to pink tints. This form, collected in Korea, performs very well in N. Europe, with reliable autumn colour. Usually a small to medium sized tree in this country, suited to most soils.
