Staphylea holocarpa ‘Rosea’

If you're considering a flowering cherry or crab apple then you could well be better off with this. A very highly regarded, but rarely seen hardy large shrub or small tree from China with soft pink flowers, hanging in drooping clusters from the spreading branches in spring. The leaves are composed of three slim leaflets and emerge purple-tinted. A delicate looking but tough beauty for sun or semi-shade and most soils.
