Ugni molinae ‘Frampton Feast’

Named and released here at Pan Global', this new cultivar of 'Chilean Guava' is the first to fruit of many forms I grow, so extending the season of these really astoundingly delicious fruit. An erect bushy evergreen shrub to about 1.5m high, with small leathery leaves and particularly pretty, waxy, soft-pink fragrant bells in summer followed by mahogany-red fruit, tasting like sweets. In cold areas this needs wall protection.
