Apparently originally from a wild collection in Mexico, this has very dark black-red chocolate-scented flowers on stems to about 90cm above deep green divided foliage. Leave in the ground with a mulch or dig up and store over winter. Also in the trade as Dahlia 'Mexican Star'.
