Bomarea acutifolia F&M 130

From the Sierra de Chiconquiaco, Veracruz, Mexico. A climbing Alstroemeria relative with terminal clusters of narrow, tubular, bright orange flowers with paler, dark spotted interiors on herbaceous twining stems, reaching 2m + high on a suitable support (fence/trellis/shrub etc) and with very showy orange-scarlet seeds in winter. Best in humus rich soil in sun, mulched over for winter if you're arctic, though has proven completely hardy here in my rural frost pocket over many years without any attention whatsoever.

Pot size: 2L
