Abies delavayi agg.

A rare northern Myanmar form of this variable species, making a medium sized tree in cultivation, but large old ancient specimens occur in the wild, where it forms forests at or below the tree line above 3000m. A splendid conically shaped tree with densely set revolute foliage, strikingly silvery-white underneath. Superb barrel shaped cones are dark bluish-violet. Hardy.
