Acacia boormanii

Snowy River Wattle. A very attractive species and one of the hardiest too. Foliage on this one is a feathery mass of extremely narrow linear grey-green leaves (phyllodes). Makes a large shrub, covered in panicles of scented, lemon-yellow mimosa flowers in early spring. Worthy of a sheltered location but survived winter 2010 near here (ie sub -10c)! Very rarely offered in the UK.
