Acer caudatifolium

One of the finest 'Snake-bark' maples, from the Far East and this particular origin coming from the mountains of Taiwan. It grows quickly into a small tree with a spreading crown, and highly attractive green and white striated bark. The bright green three lobed leaves emerge with orange red tints and return to those colours for autumn. Dangling racemes of flowers and fruit are conspicuous.
