Acer forrestii Selected form

An exceptional seed grown race of the species originating in Sichuan, SW China, with the pendulous and conspicuous fruit clusters becoming a brilliant pinky-scarlet very early, in August, and lasting right into autumn. Attractive tri-lobed foliage with red petioles and striated olive-green bark. A hardy small tree for most conditions other than thin chalk soils.
