This collection from Sichuan, SW China was introduced originally as A. fulvescens var. pentalobum. It is a handsome, vigorous thing with 5 lobed leaves up to about 15cm across on red shoots, the leaves with red petioles, turning to yellow shades in autumn. A small to medium sized hardy tree, though rarely seen.
