Aesculus indica

Indian Horse chestnut. A truly beautiful large tree from the Himalaya, though not as big as its common cousin and far more refined in every way with vastly superior foliage. Tall slim candles of pink-flushed, white flowers in June/July (a month or more later than A. hippocastanum). Very elegant leaves unfurl bronze in spring and turn orange/yellow in autumn. Easy and hardy in most positions.
