Agapanthus ‘Northern Star’

A superlative new cultivar, selected at the National Collection in Devon. This makes a large clump with big heads of rich blue flowers from dark navy buds, opening star-like with reflexed tepals, on stems to about 1m. Leaves have a distinctive dark blue-black base. Considered by Dick Fulcher to be one of the finest Agapanthus in cultivation. A hardy cultivar for full sun and well drained soil.
