Ajuga reptans ‘Catlin’s Giant’

An old classic ground covering perennial, excellent for the edge of a border or for mixing through plantings to provide early season colour. This form is particularly large and vigorous, in fact twice the size of others, with heavily bronzed foliage and 30cm spikes of deep violet-blue Bugle flowers from dark calyces in April. Easy in sun or part shade, this is more vigorous if moist and less so if drier. Very hardy.
