Akebia quinata

A fast growing, semi-evergreen, twining climber for sun or semi-shade. Chocolate-purple, sweetly scented flowers in early summer, sometimes followed by big, dark-purple, sausage shaped fruit in autumn, especially if grown on a warm wall, though it is perfectly hardy without. Vigorous and easy.
