Angelica dahurica

From the Far East, this impressive species reaches up to 2m tall and bears large flat heads of white flowers in July/August, over large handsome much divided foliage with slim drawn out segments. These are held on usually purple tinted stems and petioles. A short live perennial or sometimes biennial species, so keep some seed or allow to self sow. For a fairly sunny position in any reasonable soil that doesn't dry excessively. Hardy.
