An intriguing and unique selection of the common Strawberry Tree, with the foliage particularly rounded, undulate, toothed and somewhat congested against the shoots, giving a very atypical look. Flowers and fruits are, I believe, typical, but the bright red tints on the new foliage are not. I can find no information as to where this originated, but it is a very different and attractive selection. Makes a small tree for any reasonably drained soils. Drought tolerant. Very rare.
