Asparagus densiflorus

Usually grown as a house plant in the UK, this evergreen South African species has particularly good foliage. The potentially 1m long arching branched stems are clad with a mass of tiny narrow leaves (actually cladodes). I've grown this for quite a few years in a cold, occasionally frozen, unheated polytunnel without any issue, so should be hardy in mild areas. Otherwise an easy and tolerant house plant.
