Begonia circumlobata ‘Chandler’s Hardy’

New to the UK and launched here by Pan Global', this Shayne Chandler collection from China bears highly attractive and very deeply lobed green palmate maple-like foliage, heavily speckled in white and heavily red-tinted under. Pale-pink flowers are seen in late summer. This has proven fully hardy in relatively mild gardens in the US Pacific Northwest, but until we understand its exact limits it would be best to mulch over for winter. Height 40 to 50cm at maturity. For moist, well drained humus rich soil in shade.
