Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana ‘Bells and Whistles’

A new form of this very hardy Chinese species from the USA with silver spots on the saturated deep-red backed leaves, some of which colour deepens the green above, making for a much more colourful plant. Usual mass of light-pink flowers in late summer. Height 45cm. Part shade or sun with shelter from wind. I've found this species to be remarkably drought and sun tolerant here, even under extreme conditions, though looks better in semi-shade.

Pot size: 1L
