Begonia pedatifida – Red petiole

A form of this very hardy Chinese species with red petioles supporting the splendid particularly deeply cut foliage. Large lightly scented pure white flowers in mid to late summer. Fully hardy outside in even the very coldest winters here in rural Gloucestershire, way below -10c, forming a splendid clump. Well drained, open, humus rich soil in shade, mulched in winter if you're scared.
