Berberis kawakamii

From the mountains of Taiwan comes this rarely offered very hardy evergreen species, forming a medium sized spiny shrub with attractive foliage. Bright yellow flowers are abundantly borne in March/April on a plant that reaches approximately 1.8 x 1.8m and is tolerant of most soils in sun or semi-shade, like most barberries.
