Berberis xanthoclada NJM 11.007

Found at the summit of Leigong Shan, Guizhou, China, at 2150m in 2011, this very unusual evergreen barberry is endemic to Guizhou and made a dense shrub to 2m with glossy green elliptic foliage and black fruit. Relatively large light-yellow flowers borne in spring/summer. Exceptionally rare in cultivation.
