Betula utilis ‘Bhutan Sienna’

A sister to 'Dark Ness' with lustrous dark red-brown peeling bark, showing prominent white lenticel flecking, offering a rather Prunus serrula-like look. Originally collected in Bhutan in 1984. Fabulous after or during rain when the trunk colour glows. A hardy medium sized tree for most sites and soils.
