Betula utilis ‘Jim Russell’
A new cultivar from Arboretum Wespelaar, Belgium, selected for its outstanding burnished-copper coloured bark. Collected originally by the late Jim Russell in China, the bark has a mix of red-brown and pale-purple tones. A medium sized strong growing tree, best planted in groups for extra bark effect, but of course one is still marvellous.
