Betula utilis var. jacquemontii ‘Ramdana River’

A relatively recent selection of the Himalayan white birch from Kenneth Ashburner's National collection, collected from Garwhal, Uttar Pradesh, India and considered a very fine form by him. Particularly white bark, even on young trees, and glossy green foliage. Especially good planted in groups. Many jacquemontii in cultivation are in fact hybrids. This is the real deal.
