Lomariocycas cycadifolia (syn. Blechnum cycadifolium)

Endemic to the Juan Fernandez archipelago off the coast of Chile, this is a truly oceanic fern with superbly leathery, thick textured foliage, very similar in look to some cycads. Forming trunks at least a metre high in time, they are not slow to start this process in cultivation. Unless you live in a mild coastal area, consider this very rare gem a prized pot plant.

Pot size: 2L
