Lomariocycas palmiformis (syn. Blechnum palmiforme)

Endemic to a few very remote islands in the South Atlantic, this oceanic fern is capable of growing trunks 2m tall in sheltered locations. The very leathery, thick textured evergreen fronds are similar to B. cycadifolium and equally resistant to buffeting sea winds. Hardy only in mild parts of the UK, this should be considered a highly prized pot plant for many of us.

Pot size: 2L
