Boehmeria platanifolia

A non-stinging nettle relative with splendid foliage. This is a genus of fine foliage plants and this species is no exception, especially in this clone with soft caramel-pink tints to the new foliage, expanding to rounded and strikingly toothed softly hairy leaves. Pipe-cleaner-like white flowers in early autumn. Makes a bold clump of upright stems to 1.5m high and wide. Hardy, in sun or semi-shade.
