Buddleja colvilei ‘Tregye’

Arguably the finest form of the species, introduced by Edward Needham from the Himalaya, with individually very large, deep red-pink flowers in fat drooping panicles in June, the interiors of which age to orange. The leaves are a greyer-green than most. This species has the largest individual flowers of any Buddleja. A large shrub for a sunny position, sheltered when young and best against a wall in colder areas.
