Buddleja speciosissima

A new introduction to the UK from the cool mountains of temperate S. Brazil where it forms a medium sized shrub clothed in narrow foliage, silvery-white hairy when young and on the reverse. Spectacular in flower, this produces very distinctive terminal woolly inflorescences of tubular bright-orange flowers with flared mouths in summer. This has been seen to survive cold to below -10c
