Calycanthus floridus ‘Athens’

Selected for it's yellow flowers and fruity fragrance, this Carolina Allspice forms a dense, bushy, medium sized deciduous shrub with a multitude of small pale-yellow flowers borne over a long period in summer over glossy, rich-green, aromatic leaves. For any reasonable soil in sun or semi-shade, apparently even tolerant of rather wet soils.
