Carex muskingumensis ‘Little Midge’

A dwarf selection of the species, reaching 15-20cm high, this is mainly grown for the splendid geometric patterns formed by the bright-green very slender foliage when seen from above. The upright stems hold the narrow leaves horizontally. For average to damp soils in sun or part shade, or pots. Evergreen but best cut back hard in late winter.
