From the Lachung Valley, Sikkim, comes this compact form of the species, reaching only 30cm high. A fully hardy ginger relative for semi-shade and decent soil, bearing handsome foliage and dark-red bracted terminal inflorescences showing orange-tinted deep-yellow flowers over a long period; June to September. Hardy.
